A Dash of Hope" addresses ongoing challenges in global health

 “ The book "A Dash of Hope" authored by prominent Indian public health expert, biologist & Padma Shri Professor Dr. Aditya P. Dash, chronicles his extensive career in fighting tropical diseases like malaria, dengue and contributing to education, offering insights into global health challenges, and highlighting inspiring actions in sustainability” - told  Padma Shri Prof. Priyambada Mohanty Hejmadi . Lunching the Book , published by Black Eagle Books, Dublin, USA at Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar on Friday ,  Chief Guest Prof Hejmadi told that , the book shares his personal journey, focusing on perseverance and practical solutions for health and environmental issues. 

Addressing the distinguished audience of scientists , researchers , academics and intellectuals, Author Prof Dash said that , this book provides his candid reflections on the challenges he faced in higher education and research in India. This book offers hope through scientific dedication, leadership in education, and practical environmental stewardship. 

"A Dash of Hope" , a Memoir, a collection of personal experiences and perspectives from Dr. Dash's long career as a distinguished scientist and academic , addresses ongoing challenges in global health, particularly NTDs. It features his efforts in turning a college campus green, promoting organic farming, and rainwater harvesting, creating a model for environmental change. In essence, the book offers hope through scientific dedication, leadership in education, and practical environmental stewardship.

Among others , distinguished scientists Padma Shri Dr. K. VijayRaghavan, Former Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India , Padma Bhushan Prof. N. K. Ganguly, Former Director General of the ICMR and former President of JIPMER, Puducherry, Dr Debasis Dash, Director, BRIC-ILS , Dr. B. Ravindran, Former Director, BRIC-ILS addressed the august gathering. 

Ex- Minister Science & Technology Mr Niranjan Pattanaik , whose sincere efforts along with Dr Dash and other scientists has contributed largely for the establishment of Institute of Life Sciences at Bhubaneswar also addressed the gathering.
