Dharmendra attacked State Govt for delay in functioning of Talcher Medical College .

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attacked the State Govt for failure or operating the much delayed Mahanadi Medical College at Tacher . Addressing a huge gathering on the occasion of "Gariba Kalyan Maha samavesh" at Talcher on Saturday , Mr Pradhan told that “ apart from providing two infrastructures of 1000 crores rupees ,Central PSU - MCL has given guarantee to spend another 500 crore rupees to run the medical college. Even after it , the State Govt failed to start the said medical College which seriously affects the health services. “
In the meantime, Mr Rabindra Prasad Pattanaik, Sr Advocate and President , “ Citizens Action Forum “ filed WP (C) 0019401 /2023 in the Odisha HC for immediate function of the Talcher medical College . “Though the Odisha government and the MCL inked an agreement in 2014 for Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MIMSAR) at Talcher in Angul district and completed the development of infrastructure in 2018, still NIMSAR could not be started yet dut to negligence of Government . This has seriously affected the health service of this polluted region “ - told Mr Pattanaik .
Addressing the people in the Maha samavesh, Mr Pradhan presented the welfare schemes and fundings by the Modi Government . He told that even though State Govt received around 60 thousand crore revenue in 6 years from Angul District, still Govt is not doing its required development .
He criticised the Govt , as officials, close to 3rd floor are indulging in massive corruption . 100 crores have been seized from corrupt officials in last 6 months . “ This money belongs to the poor people “ - said Mr Pradhan .
Among others BJP leaders including Mr R N Pany , Kalandi Samal , Sanjeev Sahu & Pratap Pradhan were present in the meeting .
BJP is all set to win in the Talcher constituency , which is the home town of Union Minister Mr Pradhan and organising several mass meetings well before the coming general election.
