Janamashtami celebrated at Om Nivas, Bhubaneswar

Janamashtami- the birth day of Lord Sri Krishna was celebrated with great devotion, love, zeal and enthusiasm at Om Nivas, Bhubaneswar of Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.
Presiding over the celebration , Director, Brahma Kumari Geeta said that Sri Krishna’s life and character was a living example for whole humanity. She further said , values and virtues should be inculcated to lead exemplary life like Sri Krishna without any vested interest.
Attending the function as Chief Guest , Prof Dr Hrishikesh Senapati highlighted the importance of the festival to lead a meaningful pious life . Journalist Mr Bijay Mishra told that Janamashtami is a festival that invites us to reach our true potential.Celebrating Shri Krishna's birthday is to imbibe virtue and be like him. Let us take inspiration from his life to cultivate a happy & harmonious life .
On this occasion,a colourful programme was organised at Om Nivas premises which was attended by over 200 devotees . Programme included Spiritual discourses, dances & divine songs. All the participants won a lot of applause while performing dances on the devotional songs. Small Children dressed as Sri Krishna and Radhe were the very attractive live scene for the attendees.
